How Melanie Wright Real Estate Connects Clients with Vetted Experts
Wednesday May 26th, 2021
This month of May marks the first anniversary of my business Melanie Wright Real Estate. This past year has added to my almost decade-long experience in the Ottawa real estate industry helping clients buy and sell across Ottawa.
Throughout these years, I have had the opportunity to work with many industry services providers throughout the Ottawa area and have curated a directory of trustworthy professionals that I feel confident recommending to clients. Working with Melanie Wright Real Estate on the purchase or sale of your home means not only leveraging my expertise but also gaining access to top-quality, vetted contacts. To celebrate this exciting milestone for Melanie Wright Real Estate, I thought I would share a few of my vetted local experts below.
I have worked with countless inspectors, mortgage brokers and lawyers throughout my time in the real estate industry. I am always happy to make an introduction best suited to my client’s geographical area, timeline, or specific situation to help make the buying or selling process that much easier. I have also vetted contacts for home staging companies and moving companies so that my clients can save time and energy not having to search for these themselves.
Home Repairs & Renovations
Having restored two century homes myself, I have a tremendous resource for home repair or renovation company recommendations. Whether you have a roof that needs some attention, need an electrician to install some additional lighting or are looking for a general contractor to update your kitchen, I can recommend someone for your project.
New paint can refresh a space and is often desired when preparing to list or recently purchasing a home. I recommend Emma and her team at Grassroots Design. They offer paint consultations to help you choose the perfect colour and they also stock Farrow & Ball for all your paint and wallpaper projects. Be sure to check out my blog post on “10 Tips & Tricks to Paint Like a Professional” before getting started.
Maintaining a home takes a great deal of time, effort and expertise. Fortunately, there are many local professionals with the knowledge and skills to help take some of that work off your hands or advise you on a specific area. Whether you need a trusted opinion on how to decorate a room, an expert to reorganize your home or are looking for a loving caretaker to watch your dog for a few days, I am happy to connect you with a reputable contact.
Thinking about converting that spare room into a home gym and need a professional opinion? Check out my blog post on “How to Get Started Building a Home Gym” where I chat with an expert in home fitness, Kelsey Mullins, Gym Design and Fitness Consultant with Fitness Depot Ottawa.
Looking for a service provider to complete a seasonal job? Whether you’re in need of snow removal in the winter or a window cleaning in the spring, I am pleased to have a reputable contact to share to help save you time in your search.
May is the perfect time to inspect bushes and trees and on your property, paying special attention to limbs that aren’t showing any signs of new growth or branches that may be starting to encroach over roofs and structures. If you notice this, it’s best to contact a trusted expert as removing branches and stumps can be very dangerous without the proper equipment and expertise. I recommend Crowe Tree Service Inc. to help. They have been operating in the Ottawa area since 2002 and have ISA certified arborists that can assist with tree removal, pruning, planting, stump grinding and lot clearing.
After a decade of experience in real estate, combined with the experiences of restoring two century homes, I provide my clients with the irreplaceable value of trustworthy connections, resources and recommendations. You’ll find a full list with contact details for some of the above mentioned professionals on my resource page. If you’re in need of something that’s not listed please do get in touch. I love connecting clients and would be happy to help point you in the right direction.
